Job Description
Westin Chicago North Shore is hiring an IT Support Specialist for a hybrid role based in Schaumburg, IL, with travel required to support multiple hotel properties across a multi-location hospitality environment. This position offers $65,000/year, plus benefits that cover your health and financial security.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide day-to-day technical support and systems administration for enterprise hospitality operations, handling everything from Microsoft 365 and identity management to endpoint deployment, infrastructure troubleshooting, and property-specific applications.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, licensing, and mailbox permissions
- Manage Active Directory for user provisioning and deprovisioning, including group and permission handling
- Configure and maintain SharePoint and OneDrive permissions
- Maintain file server access controls and shared drive permissions, with immediate access termination protocols
- Image, deploy, and support Windows desktops and laptops, including profile setup, domain joins, and security policy configuration
- Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 applications and install property-specific software platforms
- Provide Tier 1–2 support for Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
- Deliver Tier 1–2 support for hospitality and access control systems including Lightspeed PMS and Saflok access control, plus Galaxy, Savie, SBA, CITY, EMC systems, and SecureCRT
- Troubleshoot authentication, sync failures, configuration errors, and performance diagnostics
- Configure network printers and troubleshoot printers and peripheral devices
- Support UniFi network environments, including rebooting and troubleshooting access points during outages
- Administer Barracuda Email Security Gateway, including quarantine releases and phishing mitigation, plus encryption and secure email delivery configuration
- Diagnose and replace internal hardware components (such as RAM, SSD/HDD, Wi-Fi adapters, and motherboards) and maintain hardware asset lifecycle tracking
- Document support activities and maintain ticket accuracy
- Support hotel openings, acquisitions, and system transitions, and coordinate vendor escalations with ISPs and telephony/IPTV providers
What you bring
- Microsoft 365 Administration including Exchange Online, licensing, and security controls
- Active Directory experience with user, group, and permission management
- Windows OS imaging and deployment
- File server and NTFS permission management
- Network printer configuration experience
- Comfort providing remote support using remote support platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- 2 years of experience in a hotel environment
Preferred experience
- Experience supporting Marriott and/or Hilton IT standards
- Hospitality PMS experience, with Lightspeed preferred
- UniFi network management
- Barracuda email security administration
- Multi-property IT support experience
