IT Support Technician
Job Description
Emerald Technology Group is seeking an IT Support Technician for an onsite role in Springfield, Oregon. In our MSP environment, you will provide end-user support across Windows, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with onboarding and deploying workstations. Compensation ranges from $19 to $28 per hour and requires at least one year of IT support experience along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional technical support to end users across diverse client environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Support Windows workstations and common business applications
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace issues
- Perform remote support with clear communication and follow-through
- Escalate issues appropriately while staying engaged and accountable until resolution
- Document work clearly in PSA and other documentation systems
- Monitor recurring issues and report patterns or concerns to senior technicians
- Participate in client onboarding, workstation setup, deployments, and basic project work
- Deliver excellent customer service to build trust with clients
- Learn and grow through hands-on experience, mentorship, and ongoing training
- Use modern tools, including AI-assisted solutions, to improve troubleshooting, efficiency, and documentation quality
Requirements
- Previous IT support or help desk experience
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and professionally
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
