Mechanical/Electrical Technical Support Specialist

DoALL Sawing Products, a CM I brand with a legacy dating back to 1927, offers an onsite Technical Support Specialist role in Savage, MN. Responsibilities

• Offer remote and phone-based technical support to customers and Field Service Technicians, guiding on assembly, troubleshooting, and repair steps.
• Lead Technical Service School training on electrical systems, electronics basics, hydraulics, interpreting schematics and ladder diagrams, operation sequencing, machine line-up, and assembly.
• Address part-number inquiries and help identify the correct parts and assemblies.
• Assess pricing and stock availability for service parts and process orders as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose machine issues.
• Source prints required to manufacture obsolete parts.
• Assess customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to building and maintaining internal and external knowledge bases to aid diagnostics.
• Perform on-site field repairs as needed, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Contribute to establishing and refining Service Department workflows.
• Maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with solid knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems from 24 VDC to 480 VAC and hydraulic circuitry.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and servos is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
• Basic machining skills, including sawing, drilling, and milling.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and ongoing activities.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel domestically with limited international travel.
