Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites in your metro area when on-site presence is required.
Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network issues with support from remote personnel.
Implement new technology with remote assistance as needed.
Assess customer support needs to identify suitable technology solutions.
Maintain strong, clear communication with customers throughout engagements.
Document work performed and capture relevant technical details for clients.

Requirements

Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops and servers.
Experience installing and troubleshooting on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS.
End-user and help desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
Experience troubleshooting network-related issues tied to switches and routers, plus TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
Must reside within close proximity to the metro area for which you are applying.

About the role

Hours are not guaranteed, but there is a recurring client assignment every other week. This role provides a flexible option for supplemental income rather than a guaranteed monthly income. We seek candidates with strong customer-focused consultative skills along with solid technology and troubleshooting abilities. Compensation and Location
