Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance for IT issues
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted questions
  • Determine the best solution based on issue details provided by customers
  • Guide customers through the problem-solving process
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support
  • Follow up and update customer status and information
  • Identify and propose improvements to existing procedures
  • Provide technical support across computer, network, data, telecommunications, and print functions for all departments
  • Run software updates and backups as needed
  • Learn assigned applications
  • Create and maintain documentation for specialized hardware and software
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Contribute to special projects directed by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in information technology or a related field
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Attention to detail and strong written communication for technical documentation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Technical knowledge in Windows OS, Mac OS, and iOS
  • Ability to work weekends
