Job Description
Join the Operations Support Center (OSC) team as an entry-level IT Support Associate overnight in the Memphis, TN data center.
Responsibilities
- Resolve Tier 1 tickets and handle daily shift walk activities
- Complete routine audits and coordinate remote hands requests
- Follow strict security protocols for client access requests inside the data center using required access control criteria
- Enforce security protocols when needed, such as when equipment removal is requested without prior notification or per contractual obligation
- Follow shipping and receiving procedures to support secure transport of materials to and from the facility
- Cover the front desk phone and perform physical and virtual security checks
- Process and prioritize client and employee technical requests via phone, email, or in person
- Use the ticketing system to log requests and activities, including documentation of special requests and important customizations for future support
Requirements
- Preferred industry certification(s), such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Network+
- Strong interest in a career in IT and/or technology, with evidence of IT experience
- Associate degree in a technical discipline, or technical equivalent work experience
- Previous exposure to or experience in an IT environment
- Previous customer-service work experience
- Professional and patient approach, since this is a client-facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive responsibilities
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Must pass pre-employment screens

Schedule, Shift Premium, and Pay
- Regular schedule: Monday through Friday
- Additional bonus paid out upon completion of the initial training
- Salary range: $37,000 to $42,000 per year, paid hourly and including built-in overtime and shift premium
- Hourly rate is closely based on technical experience and knowledge, work experience, and/or academic experience

Location and Attendance Requirement
- On-site in the Memphis, TN data center
- Physical presence is required because the role is considered critical
Physical Tasks and Demands
- Sitting: stationary/seated during the workday to check in visitors
- Walking: escort visitors to equipment; walk the perimeter of the physical plant/data center multiple times per shift to conduct hands-on assessments and ensure building safety compliance (including checking doors and temperature sensors in server room/data center areas)
- Lifting: frequently lifts lightweight items; occasionally lifts heavy-weight materials such as equipment, parts, and computer/server hardware
- Dexterity: lock/unlock security cages, operate security kiosk and print visitor badges, operate loading dock equipment; climb and balance on a ladder; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl into tight spaces to access computer hardware, perform safety checks, move equipment, and install equipment as required
