Solidus Resources, LLC invites an on-site IT Help Desk Specialist to join our Winnemucca, NV team. This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 85,000 and a hands-on opportunity to keep our IT environment secure, stable, and productive. You will partner closely with staff to deliver reliable support and help optimize systems for daily operations, with a focus on collaboration and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical assistance to end users for hardware, software, and network inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues remotely or on site to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Assist in configuring and deploying workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.
- Support server maintenance to maintain stability, security, and optimal performance.
- Monitor system resource usage, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive steps to prevent outages.
- Contribute to data backups and disaster recovery planning efforts.
- Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to implement network security measures and prevent unauthorized access.
- Install, upgrade, and configure software applications, ensuring proper licensing and timely updates.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring licensing compliance.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard data and protect against threats.
- Stay informed about current security threats and best practices, and participate in security awareness programs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct training sessions to empower employees with essential IT skills and best practices.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of work experience as an IT Support Specialist or a similar role.
- Strong communicator with a track record of delivering white-glove service to senior leaders and executives.
- Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A passion for technology and a proactive approach to staying current with IT trends and developments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
