IT Helpdesk Technician
Job Description
Mo' Bettahs, a Lehi, Utah based restaurant, is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network systems across its operation. The role covers POS maintenance, network infrastructure, staff training, and vendor liaison, with travel up to 50% as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective IT support for all hardware, software, and network issues, remotely and on site, to minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve POS systems, including cash registers, receipt printers, and payment devices, ensuring front of house and back of house run smoothly.
- Oversee maintenance and configuration of network infrastructure such as routers, Wi-Fi access points, and switches to keep staff and customers connected.
- Maintain, repair, and replace restaurant hardware like computers, tablets, printers, and servers; perform regular system checks to prevent failures.
- Install, configure, and update software applications used by the restaurant for scheduling, inventory management, and accounting; ensure updates are applied.
- Assist in managing security protocols including firewalls, antivirus software, and data backup systems to protect restaurant data.
- Provide basic IT training to staff on POS, software, and general tech tools to support effective usage.
- Conduct regular system checks to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations; monitor network performance and troubleshoot as needed.
- Liaise with third party vendors for service agreements, troubleshooting, and technical support for IT hardware and software.
- Maintain an organized log of technical issues, resolutions, configurations, and updates performed.
- Travel up to 50% as needed to various locations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Technician, Helpdesk Support Specialist, or similar role in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems is a plus, with examples such as Toast or Square for Restaurants.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi management.
- Experience with software tools common in the restaurant industry, including scheduling, inventory management, and accounting systems.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and backup processes.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non technical staff.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- A customer focused mindset and ability to collaborate with both technical and non technical staff.

Working Conditions
- The position requires the ability to see, hear, and speak clearly. You may need to ascend and descend stairs, and to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
- Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions may be required.
- Extended computer use is common, including screen work, mouse, and keyboard interaction.
- May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other means.
