IT Support Engineer
Job Description
Elevatus is seeking an on-site IT Support Engineer for the Tampa Bay area. This full-time position in Tampa, FL (onsite) offers an annual salary of USD 55,000 and the chance to work closely with experienced IT consultants. You will be in the office and on site with clients, handling desktop, server, network, and cloud support, maintenance, and project work within a fast-paced MSP/MSSP setting.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user, network, and software issues
- Document and close issues with clear records
- Escalate to senior engineers when needed
- Assist clients with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of workstations, peripherals, and software
- Perform regular preventative maintenance checks
- Diagnose system emergencies and persevere until resolution
- Set up new user profiles and software installations
- Collaborate with vendor representatives to resolve software and hardware issues
- Install and/or upgrade Microsoft Operating Systems
- Follow defined processes and standards
- Review security parameters with clients and make recommendations per our standards and processes
- Contribute to projects such as system migrations, virtual server configurations with high availability, server and firewall installations, VPN tunnel configuration, SAN setups, and more
- Participate in project planning and solution delivery
Requirements
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure experience
- Ability to learn and retain new technology skills and troubleshooting processes
- Must be a team player and enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize client issues
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Windows products, VPNs, performance issues, peripherals, and M365
- Microsoft Certifications completed
- 3+ years of solid Microsoft Windows experience
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MSP-specific experience is required
A typical day would involve grabbing support tickets from the queue that require troubleshooting knowledge, as the team operates without L1 engineers.
