IT Support Engineer II

Amazon.com Services LLC is hiring an IT Support Engineer II to support technology across sites within a defined geographical area in Cottage Grove, WI. In this onsite role, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex customer-impacting issues, help drive improvements, and support project execution during critical incidents.

The position focuses on delivering IT client, server, and network services while expanding your knowledge across AWS technologies, distributed systems concepts, and core engineering topics like data structures and software design patterns. Travel within your local or regional area is included to support customers across multiple buildings and remote customers.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot difficult IT issues without SOPs
• Plan and coordinate CMs and CM templates
• Collaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects
• Lead continuous improvement efforts
• Audit the quality of work performed and provide constructive feedback when needed
• Automate manual tasks by creating or improving small tools that improve team efficiency
• Serve as the first point of escalation
• Participate in hiring, training, and development of others
• Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers
• Travel within your local or regional area to support customers

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
• 4+ years of IT systems or relevant commercial production environment experience
• 4+ years of networking experience, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
• 4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience
• 4+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment
• 4+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience
• High school or equivalent diploma

Tools and Technologies

• AWS technologies
• Distributed systems concepts
• Video conference and teleconference equipment
• Windows server environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of supporting a Windows server environment
• Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment

Compensation and Location

• Location: Cottage Grove, WI (onsite)
• Salary range: USD 60,700 - 106,300 per year
• USA, WI, Cottage Grove: 60,700.00 - 106,300.00 USD annually
