Specialist Technician, Technology Support - IT Support
Job Description
Vizio is seeking a Specialist Technician for Technology Support (IT Support) to deliver hands-on support to employees onsite in New York and to users across the company via remote assistance. The role reports to Technology Support II and focuses on onboarding enablement, endpoint provisioning, and L1/L2 user support while partnering with internal teams on testing and deployment.
Onsite and Support Coverage
- Provide local and company-wide IT support through Email, Chat, or Phone while adhering to established SLAs, policies, and SOPs.
- Support users at the local office and assist across the organization as needed.
- Collaborate with other technicians on rotational weekend support.
- Provide support for Video Conferencing Systems.
Onboarding, Hardware, and Endpoint Provisioning
- Support employee onboarding by working with weekly New Hire Orientation meetings.
- Provision PC and Mac and Linux-based hardware for new employees.
- Coordinate and assist Infrastructure and Client Services teams with testing and deployment of new hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Work with senior team members and team leadership to support hardware requirements that enable maximum productivity.
Local Office Operations and IT Asset Management
- Oversee inventory and stocking levels for IT assets at the local office.
- Coordinate with the local office manager for building access.
- Maintain IT managed office equipment in coordination with office stakeholders.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by team leadership.
Travel
- Occasional voluntary travel to other U.S. offices as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 1+ years of related work experience.
- Advanced understanding of currently supported Windows and macOS versions, with 1+ years of operating system support experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Self-directed approach and a team attitude, including a “no task is too small” mindset.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to work with software developers when assistance is needed, including providing correct solutions and root cause analysis.
- At least 1 year working with ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow.
- At least 1 year with Office 365 Admin Center.
- Beginner level understanding of Command Prompt, PowerShell, and Terminal.
- Solid foundation of Windows and macOS imaging.
- Knowledge of self-service software installation tools such as Company Portal and Manage Engine.
- Understanding of Active Directory tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Accessibility Focus)
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
- Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices aligned to Walmart accessibility standards and guidelines supporting an inclusive culture.
Compensation and Location
- Salary: USD 25 - 48 per hour
