Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist
Job Description
Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is hiring an Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist to deliver hands-on technical assistance and help maintain the Salt Lake City manufacturing facility’s IT infrastructure. This role reports to the Senior IT Support Lead and operates fully on-site Monday through Friday.
Role Overview
The IT Support Specialist provides support to end users, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and supports endpoint and infrastructure operations across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. Responsibilities also include help desk ticket handling, asset inventory management, and onboarding and offboarding coordination in partnership with HR and Facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users, including troubleshooting and researching hardware and software issues on desktop or laptop systems.
- Monitor and respond to Help Desk IT support tickets in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain documentation covering the company’s IT infrastructure and support processes.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all hardware and software assets.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation and disabling, communication, and hardware deployment and recovery in coordination with HR and Facilities.
- Perform system configuration and deployment for Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints and peripherals.
- Carry out other related duties consistent with the role’s scope.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 or more years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and/or maintaining software and hardware installations and upgrades.
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows and iOS environment.
- Experience with Layer 1 Networking and cabling.
- Experience installing and uninstalling and licensing and de-licensing enterprise software.
- Highly proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills with a positive, professional, and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to operate as a team member and support company and departmental decisions, policies, and procedures.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of or progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Linux and macOS skills are highly desirable.

Compensation
$28.85 - $33.65 per hourly (USD 28 - 33 per hourly as listed).
