Job Description

At Dept_PhysLoc_OrgGroup in Gilbert, AZ, the IT Support Technician I delivers front-line technical support to employees across the organization. This onsite role focuses on keeping hardware, software, mobile devices, and system access running smoothly, while assisting users with day-to-day technology needs.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee technology support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices.
  • Configure, deploy, image, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Provision and manage user accounts, system access, and permissions for onboarding, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
  • Assist with Active Directory administration, including password resets, account management, and group membership updates.
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system.
  • Provide end-user training and guidance on technology tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and business units to support technology initiatives and projects.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you will bring

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or six months to one-year related experience in technical support (help desk, desktop support, or similar); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and user access issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, including the ability to build relationships with employees at varying technical levels.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and accurately document work in a ticketing system.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
