What this role offers

Based in Columbus, NE, this onsite IT Service Desk position includes weekly travel to farm locations. You will deliver front-line end-user support, on-site troubleshooting, and setup of equipment and accounts, with a focus on Windows, Office 365 and Power Platform, SharePoint, Zoom, and A/V gear. An Associates Degree is required, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to phone calls, voicemails, emails, and chat requests to resolve problems and service inquiries.
  • Provide on-site support at offices and farm locations as needed.
  • Deliver and configure technology equipment including computers, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Stay current with updates and provide support for Windows, Office 365 and Power Platform, SharePoint, Zoom Video Conferencing, Zoom Rooms and Zoom Phones, two-way radios, and Crestron A/V equipment.
  • Set up accounts and hardware for new users, including installation and configuration of computer hardware and software.
  • Support equipment as necessary whether in the office or on the farm, including printers, security cameras, mobile apps, and A/V equipment.
  • Develop best practices to optimize the user experience.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies.
  • Create training resources to address frequently asked questions or common errors experienced by the team.
  • Travel to farm locations for on-site assistance approximately one day per week.

A Day in the Life

  • Keep up to date with updates for Windows, Office 365/Power Platform, SharePoint, Zoom, and related gear.
  • Set up new user accounts and hardware, including software and hardware configuration.
  • Provide support for equipment as needed, including printers, security cameras, mobile apps, and A/V gear.
  • Develop practices to improve user experience and efficiency.
  • Test new technologies and assess their fit for the team.
  • Develop and deploy training resources for common questions or errors.
  • Typically travel weekly to farm locations to provide on-site user support.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree
  • 2 years customer support experience preferred
  • 2 years IT experience preferred
  • Experience setting up Dell computers
  • Proficient in Office 365 Suite
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
