IT Support Specialist
Job Description
Support a growing pharmacy network with first-response IT help desk support, remote troubleshooting, and hands-on device and networking support.
Responsibilities
- Manage first-response IT tickets through Atera, addressing printer issues, Dell hardware problems, password resets, network connectivity concerns, and power diagnostics
- Provide Windows 10/11 desktop support and troubleshoot common workstation issues
- Deploy, troubleshoot, and support hardware across 60+ pharmacy locations
- Perform routine monitoring and proactive maintenance to reduce the chance of recurring or escalating incidents
- Use RMM tools and remote desktop technologies to deliver remote support and resolution
- Handle basic networking troubleshooting, including Firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Build documentation and protocols to support future team members
- Establish ticket response workflows and communication standards
- Support non-technical pharmacy staff with professional, patient-focused guidance by translating technical problems into clear, actionable steps
- Own ticket follow-through by ensuring each request receives a response and each issue reaches closure
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Director with clear documentation and supporting context
Requirements
- Trade school certification in IT, computer science, or related field (or 1+ year help desk/IT support experience)
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and practical hardware troubleshooting
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regional travel (about 20%)
- Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 70 lbs

Schedule & Logistics
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Travel: Approximately 20% regional travel to pharmacy locations (mileage reimbursed)
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 70 lbs
- Transportation: Travel between pharmacy locations in your personal vehicle

Pay
- $47,000–$55,000 per year

Preferred Certifications & Experience
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience with ticketing systems: Atera, ServiceNow, or ConnectWise
- Healthcare or pharmacy IT experience (HIPAA familiarity a plus)
- Experience creating documentation or SOPs
