Job Description

White Mountain IT is seeking an IT Support Technician to operate on-site in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role centers on resolving technical issues, configuring and setting up equipment, and managing networks for local clients, with some local travel to support office moves and upgrades. The position suits a hands-on professional who can own problems from start to finish while communicating clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve Technical Issues: Own client issues from start to finish; independently troubleshoot and fix computer, software, and internet problems to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Manage Networks and Systems: Set up and configure network equipment such as firewalls and wireless access points, and manage user accounts, emails, and security settings within Microsoft 365.
  • Support Client Projects: Travel to local businesses to physically install computers, printers, and network gear for office moves or upgrades.
  • Communicate Clearly: Listen to clients, understand the impact of their problem, and explain solutions in plain language without using confusing technical terms.
  • Document Your Work: Write clear, accurate notes on the problems you solve so the rest of the team can learn from your solutions.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on IT support experience for hardware, software, and business networks.
  • Strong understanding of Windows computers, managing user accounts, and configuring business internet setups (firewalls and secure connections).
  • Ability to analyze a situation, determine the root cause, and select the most logical fix.
  • Patient, professional, and skilled at multitasking while keeping customers informed of progress.
  • Clean background check, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
