Part Time Onsite IT Support
Job Description
Part-time Onsite IT Support role with Miles IT in Odessa, TX, delivering on-site and technology-implementation support for small and medium businesses with flexible hours and a 30 USD hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support at customer locations within the Metro Area when on-site presence is required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network issues with assistance from remote team members.
- Deploy and implement new technology with remote support as needed.
- Assess client support needs to identify appropriate technology solutions.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with customers throughout engagements.
- Document all work performed and capture relevant technical details for clients.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops and servers.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, and DNS.
- End-user and help desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
- Experience troubleshooting network-related issues involving switches and routers.
- Configure TCP/IP settings on networks and troubleshoot TCP/IP problems.
- Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
- Must reside within close proximity to the Metro Area for which you are applying.
