Job Description
Based in Evansville, Indiana and operating onsite, this IT support role delivers first‑line technical assistance to staff while managing the lifecycle of user devices. The position reports to the Systems Administrator and collaborates closely with the IT team.
Responsibilities
- Provide initial technical assistance to staff through a ticketing system, phone, and in‑person support
- Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows desktops and laptops
- Troubleshoot mobile Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads
- Address problems with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook and Teams
- Diagnose basic network and connectivity problems
- Escalate unresolved items to the Systems Administrator
- Prepare and provision new devices, including computers, iPhones, and iPads
- Set up devices for staff use, including accounts, applications, and profiles
- Oversee mobile device enrollment through a mobile device management (MDM) system
- Support replacement, loss, or damage processes for devices
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and peripherals
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks
- Create and manage user accounts under supervision
- Reset passwords and assist with login and MFA issues
- Support office technology needs, including printers, Wi‑Fi, and peripherals
- Provide connectivity and device issue support to remote staff
- Document common issues and their resolutions
Requirements
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field is preferred
- Equivalent work experience in IT support or a help desk role
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Fundamental familiarity with mobile devices (iOS/iPadOS)
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365
- Experience with ticketing systems and device setup
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to assist non‑technical users
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
