Desktop Support Engineer – End User Computing (EUC) Support
Job Description
The Desktop Support Engineer role focuses on end user computing (EUC) services for a corporate environment, combining deskside troubleshooting with preventative maintenance and VIP-style executive support. Allied digital service limited operates with a hands-on, end-user facing model, and this position requires on-site presence in Johnston, RI. The team supports operational and technical SLAs while resolving EUC incidents tied to devices, peripherals, and connectivity.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for end user computing equipment and peripheral devices at the corporate location.
- Provide onsite support to Authorized Users and work to meet specified SLAs for operational and technical needs.
- Resolve incidents and problems related to EUC equipment through reactive troubleshooting and follow-up efforts to prevent repeat issues.
- Support Authorized Users with connection to the corporate network, including assisting with access to LAN, print, and file services, WAN connectivity, and appropriate LAN segment access.
- Repair and maintain mobile devices.
- Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment including desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals.
- Deliver software break/fix support and handle replacement of non-warranty assets for end users.
- Provide network printer and scanner connectivity support, including configuration support for device setup, IP addressing, and direct TCP/IP output.
- Support VIP and White-glove, executive level coverage for equipment such as desktop devices, mobile devices, display screens, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, direct attached printers, local printers, scanners, and wireless networking.
- Provide warranty and break/fix support for networked printers.
- Configure and support end users on mobile computing platforms.
- Create, change, and remove printer configurations and queues based on requests in accordance with SLAs.
- Provide on-site hardware support for general troubleshooting across end user computing technologies.
- Maintain regular, accurate, and timely feedback on customer requirements, including supervising assignments and keeping communication active with sales, operations, and branch office personnel.
- Use the problem management database and systems to track and report on customer calls and requests.
- Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical team members and customers.
- Troubleshoot Win10 OS and O365.
- Support conference devices.
- Apply SCCM client end installation and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Provide 100% onsite deskside support from the client office location and perform other deskside support services as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related work experience.
- Sound knowledge of imaging tools such as Ghost and MDT.
- Sound knowledge of data backup and recovery tools such as USMT.
- Installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 10.
- Deploying Windows 10 in large enterprises.
- Configuring hardware and applications, including network connectivity and access to resources.
- Configuring mobile computing and monitoring/maintaining systems running Windows 10.
- Configuring backup and recovery options.
