Job Description
Tele-Optics, Inc. is hiring a full-time IT Support Technician to deliver on-site IT support for a customer in Fieldale, VA. This position focuses on responding to day-to-day incidents, supporting end users at their desks and by phone, and keeping workplace technology running smoothly across multiple building locations.
The role is field-based and requires hands-on assistance with equipment, applications, and basic connectivity or telephony issues, along with careful documentation and follow-through in ServiceNow. If you enjoy troubleshooting across a mixed environment and working independently, this is an opportunity to support a real onsite customer.
What you will do
- Provide on-site support at the Fieldale, VA customer location, including walking between multiple buildings, climbing steps, using ladders, and carrying or transporting computing equipment to and from jobs.
- Manage incidents in ServiceNow by logging, tracking, and updating Incidents to ensure timely follow-through and resolution.
- Handle phone and deskside support, including deployment and configuration of computing hardware, software, data transfer, and asset tracking.
- Open and troubleshoot SIP VoIP and analog telephony, along with basic network troubleshooting.
- Support mobile devices including iOS and Android for user or device-related issues.
- Maintain and repair printing and scanning equipment, including multifunction printers, copiers, scanners, and Zebra label printers.
- Maintain and support conference room audio-visual and meeting room equipment and related technologies.
- Manage retirement and disposal of surplus or salvage IT assets according to site policies and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and replacement equipment procurement or support.
Skills and qualifications
- Experience with computer hardware and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office / O365.
- Experience with InTune or other mobile device management solutions.
- Understanding of cyber-security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent work ethic and ability to work through assignments on your own.
- Ability to prioritize assignments based on urgency and impact.
