This onsite IT Help Desk role supports Graham Construction, a 3G Company, delivering timely hardware, software, and mobile device assistance to employees across office and jobsite environments, with onboarding and IT training as a focus.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely onsite and remote technical support for employees' hardware, software, and mobile devices.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including software installation and upgrades.
- Monitor IT helpdesk emails and requests, determine solutions, and assist users as needed.
- Set up and install end-user PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and IT training.
- Support IT initiatives and contribute to project planning.
- Plan and coordinate the setup of a new employee's software and hardware devices.
- Address other IT issues such as conference room technology, printers, and scanners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates degree in information technology, computer science, cyber security, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience assisting end users in an IT capacity (preferred).
- Experience with Apple iOS support and PC environments.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, O365 Admin, MS Office Suites, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work independently as a self-starter.
- Effective prioritization, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and solid problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass post-offer employment testing and post-offer drug test.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.
- Willingness to travel to construction job sites within Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin (approximately 2-3 trips per month; no overnight travel).
- This is an onsite role requiring reporting to the Des Moines, IA office Monday through Friday.
