Job Description

Lead onsite IT and technical support for LAP product devices deployed in hospital settings, guiding installation, configuration, network integration, cybersecurity compliance, and post-implementation support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site system deployment, configuration, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Act as the technical lead for on-site software installation and setup.
  • Configure system software, hardware, and network settings for product devices, including wired and wireless connections.
  • Implement client/server databases with archiving and remote backup configurations.
  • Coordinate deployment within the hospital LAN and establish connectivity to remote DICOM devices (TPS, TDS, TMS).
  • Support hospital IT in integrating the system with LAN, cybersecurity measures, encryption policies, and Active Directory requirements.
  • Produce thorough technical documentation and reports.
  • Lead pre-installation project planning activities.
  • Collaborate with hospital IT to complete required IT survey documentation prior to installation.
  • Coordinate pre-installation electrical, power backup, remote access, and network prerequisites for hardware deployment.
  • Contribute to technical drawings and manuals, covering cabling, computer topology, and network diagrams.
  • Coordinate and assist LAP hardware and clinical implementation teams during planning.
  • Provide off-site and on-site technical support.
  • Deliver advanced remote support and train the help desk on triage procedures.
  • Assist the clinical team with on-site support and post-commissioning service for software and hardware troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Perform on-site and remote software upgrades and remote configuration of system components.

Requirements

  • Experience with or knowledge of radiation therapy workflows and hospital IT network requirements is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity best practices knowledge.
  • Proficiency in wired and wireless networking.
  • Understanding of client/server architectures.
  • PC administration and broader network administration skills.
  • Knowledge of network switches and routing concepts.
  • Experience with DICOM is advantageous.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • Database administration experience.
  • Experience with computer hardware and cabling.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor of Science in medical physics, computer science, electrical engineering, computer information systems, biomedical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
  • Related certifications preferred: networking, cybersecurity, database, and server certifications

  • Familiarity with radiation therapy workflows and hospital IT network requirements is preferred
