Job Description

Part-time in-home sales and technical support role based onsite in Reno, NV. This position requires daily travel to customer residences with evening availability, and the compensation package includes an hourly wage, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and sales commissions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a Field Sales Representative using the Serve, Solve, Sell approach, beginning with paid training to prepare for independent field work.
  • Meet customers in their homes, in offices, or other locations; interactions are pre-scheduled to help you meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction, consistently prioritizing the customer’s needs.
  • Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, delivering a clear solution suitable for customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion’s expanding product range to provide tailored solutions for each customer.
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to meet those needs.
  • Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and complete appropriate sales.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth, maintaining confidence and technical proficiency.

Requirements

  • Comfortable operating in a sales environment with established targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded).
  • A personal vehicle (no motorcycles) with travel taking place in neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse; expected one-way travel distance up to 120 miles.
  • Flexibility to work a varied 5-day week schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer needs.
  • A personal cellphone for on-the-job communication.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a desire to learn a broad set of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing with a strong aptitude for human interaction.
  • Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; some flexibility may be required.

Benefits

  • Base hourly rate guaranteed for all hours worked, with bi-weekly pay and optional early access to earned pay.
