Prime Electric is hiring an IT Support Engineer II to strengthen the organization’s information technology function in Bellevue, WA on an onsite basis. This role provides second-tier technical assistance across computer systems, software, and hardware, while also supporting IT project work as requested.
Working under general supervision, you will diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues, install and test equipment and programs, and help ensure devices are ready for deployment. The position also includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical and emergency Helpdesk Support.
What you’ll do
- Diagnose computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, and install hardware and software while performing tests on equipment and programs
- Provide second-tier technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Contribute and/or lead IT projects as requested
- Participate in an On-Call rotation schedule for after-hour critical and emergency Helpdesk Support
- Respond to escalated questions and Helpdesk tickets in person, by phone, or via email
- Install workstations and, when needed, train end-users on computer use
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Perform Quality Assurance / Quality Control before devices are deployed
- Assist with computer setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for remote jobsites and offices
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources
- Comply with and enforce internal policies, processes, and procedures, including the PRIME Safety Program and safe work practices
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of how software and operating systems work
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines
- Ability to think logically and analytically while maintaining a strong customer focus under stressful situations
Compensation and work details
- Salary: USD 82,000 - 97,000 per year
- Location: Bellevue, WA (onsite)
- Experience level: 3 years minimum
