Job Description
Contract Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst position in Coffeyville, Kansas, onsite, focusing on Windows and Microsoft 365 environments with compensation of $18-$20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical assistance to end users, addressing issues with computers, software, printers, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and software problems swiftly to minimize business disruption.
- Configure, test, and deploy desktop and workstation hardware for new hires and existing staff.
- Support onboarding, device refresh cycles, office moves, and other equipment transitions.
- Install and maintain printers, mobile devices, and other end-user technologies.
- Assist with user account tasks such as password resets, access requests, and basic profile updates.
- Deliver support for Windows systems and Microsoft 365 tools across the organization.
- Perform basic cabling and physical installation work for workstations and connected devices.
- Accurately document incidents, resolutions, and service activities in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff or external vendors and support technology rollout projects as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in help desk or desktop support, or a comparable technical support role is preferred.
- Associate degree or related IT coursework is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and standard end-user support in a Windows environment.
- Basic troubleshooting abilities for desktop hardware, peripherals, and common software issues.
- Experience with Active Directory and basic account-related support tasks is beneficial.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and service desk ticket management.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
