Job Description

Asurion presents a part time In-Home Sales and Tech Support role based in Kent, WA, where field visits to customer residences combine practical tech help with proactive selling. This position follows the Serve, Solve, Sell approach, includes paid training, and requires evening and weekend availability. Expect a compensation package that blends base pay with commissions, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend as you help customers solve their tech needs in their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • You will be on the front lines assisting customers using the Serve, Solve, Sell approach, starting with paid training to enable independent field work.
  • You will learn our products and gain hands-on sales experience while building skills in communication, negotiation, and problem solving, with ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and confidence with technology.
  • In the field, you will consistently apply the Serve, Solve, Sell model by:
    • Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are. Interactions are pre-scheduled to help you meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Provide exceptional customer service throughout each interaction, always prioritizing the customer.
    • Use your expertise to address and resolve tech issues and present clear solutions regardless of the customer’s tech knowledge.
    • Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that supports their future tech needs.
    • Leverage Asurion’s growing range of products to offer tailored solutions.
    • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to meet those needs.
    • Use strong negotiation and communication skills, pivot smoothly, and stay motivated to close the right sale.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
  • A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer service appointments are located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse. The maximum expected travel distance is 120 miles, one-way.
  • Work a varied five-day week schedule designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
  • Must be comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal oriented, and persuasive communicator.
  • Open minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills applicable to various career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing and comfortable with interpersonal interaction.
  • Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand. A standard schedule is provided, but flexibility may be required.

  • Base hourly rate is guaranteed for all hours worked and paid bi-weekly. Earned pay can be accessed early.
