In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
Part-time in-home sales and technical support with daily travel to customer residences in Pittsburgh, onsite; includes paid training and potential commissions.
Responsibilities
- Meet customers in their home, at an office, or other locations as arranged.
- Asurion pre-schedules interactions to help you reach and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every encounter, prioritizing the customer.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues in clear terms for all levels of tech knowledge.
- Ensure customers leave with a working solution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
- Use Asurion's expanding product lineup to propose tailored solutions.
- Actively listen to identify customer needs and position products accordingly.
- Leverage negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and close appropriate sales.
- Begin with paid training to prepare for independent field work.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a sales environment with set targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan not included).
- Personal vehicle (no motorcycles); travel up to 120 miles one-way to neighborhoods around the inventory warehouse.
- Five-day workweek with a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
- Comfort working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills applicable to various career paths.
- Outgoing, enjoys interacting with people.

Benefits
- Base hourly rate guaranteed for all hours worked with bi-weekly pay; earned pay can be accessed early.
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
- Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly.
- $35 monthly phone stipend.
- Three weeks of paid training focused on success.
Pay Rate
Base: $23.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and sales commission.
Part-Time Schedule
Five evenings per week, from 4:05 pm to 9:00 pm.
