In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part-Time)
Job Description
Beaverton, Oregon hosts a part-time, on-site role blending in-home sales with technical support. Asurion recruits customer-focused professionals who will travel to residences and workplaces daily, guided by the Serve, Solve, Sell approach, with comprehensive paid training and ongoing coaching to sharpen product knowledge and field skills.
Responsibilities
- Represent the front line for customers using the Serve, Solve, Sell framework, starting with paid training to operate independently in the field.
- Learn Asurion’s products and gain practical sales experience while building communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to maintain confidence and technical proficiency.
- Interact with customers in-home, in-office, or other locations with pre-scheduled visits designed to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each interaction, always prioritizing the customer’s needs.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, offering clear solutions regardless of the customer’s technical background.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses their future tech needs.
- Utilize Asurion’s growing product lineup to tailor solutions to individual customers.
- Listen actively to identify needs and position products to meet them effectively.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot as needed and close appropriate sales.
Requirements
- Comfort working in a sales environment with established targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
- Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles) with travel up to 120 miles one-way to neighborhoods and cities near the inventory warehouse.
- Flexible, varied five-day schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected on the job.
- Comfort working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a wide range of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with people.
Compensation
- Base hourly rate of $24.90, with mileage reimbursement according to IRS guidelines, a monthly $35 phone stipend, and uncapped commissions paid bi-weekly.
- Mileage reimbursement is issued weekly and earnings can be accessed early through earned pay options.
Part-time Schedule
- Five evenings per week, from 4:05 pm to 9:00 pm.
