Job Description

Asurion offers a part-time, on-site role in Sharon Hill, PA that combines in-home field sales with hands-on tech support. The position involves daily customer visits, paid training, and a compensation package including base pay, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and commissions.

Role Summary

This part-time role blends field sales with technical assistance, meeting customers in their homes or at convenient locations. You will pre-schedule interactions, deliver strong customer service, and ensure solutions address current tech issues while anticipating future needs.

Responsibilities

  • Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are, pre-scheduling interactions and delivering exceptional service throughout each engagement.
  • Apply your expertise to diagnose and resolve technical issues, communicate clear solutions, and ensure customers leave with a workable fix and a product that supports future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion’s product lineup to offer tailored solutions, actively listen to identify customer needs, and use effective negotiation and communication to close sales.
  • Begin with paid training to prepare you for independent field work.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth, confidence, and ongoing technical proficiency.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded)
  • Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer appointments are in neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, with a maximum one-way travel distance of 120 miles
  • Ability to work a varied 5-day week including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job
  • Comfortable working around household pets
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills
  • Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills applicable to multiple career paths
  • Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging in human interaction
  • Note: Work hours may vary by business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base hourly rate of $24.90, with pay issued bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early
  • Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly
  • Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly
  • $35 monthly phone stipend
  • Three weeks of paid training prioritizing success

Part-Time Schedule

This is a part-time role requiring afternoon and evening availability. Most positions follow a 5-day schedule from 4:05 PM to 9:00 PM, with end times varying by customer needs. In select markets, a flexible 4+ day option may be available, requiring at least 25 hours per week across four days, including one weekend day. Shifts for the flexible option run from 12:05 PM to 9:00 PM, with start times as late as 4:00 PM. If available in your market, you may choose between the two schedules. Availability is essential and should be reviewed before applying.

About the Role
