Job Description

Asurion offers a part-time, on-site role in Lafayette, LA that blends in-home sales with practical tech support. This position includes paid training, evening hours, and the chance to earn commissions while expanding product knowledge in a collaborative, customer-first environment. You’ll travel to customers' residences daily, with a focus on delivering helpful solutions and a positive service experience.

Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Meet customers where they are, with pre-scheduled interactions that support meeting and surpassing sales targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every touchpoint, always prioritizing the customer’s needs.
  • Apply your expertise to diagnose and resolve tech issues, offering clear, approachable solutions for all levels of tech knowledge.
  • Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion’s growing product lineup to tailor solutions to each customer.
  • Listen actively to uncover needs and position products that align with those needs.
  • Use effective negotiation and communication skills to navigate conversations and close appropriate sales.
  • Participate in paid training to prepare you for independent field work.
  • Engage in ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and maintain confidence in tech-savvy interactions.

Requirements

  • Comfortable in a sales environment with set targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan is excluded).
  • A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles); travel up to 120 miles one-way to neighborhoods and cities near the inventory warehouse.
  • Ability to work a varied 5-day schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer timelines.
  • Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a passion for learning a wide range of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing and energized by interacting with people.
  • Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; flexibility is required.
