In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
Part-time in-home field sales and tech support role in Wilmington, NC (onsite) for Asurion, requiring daily travel to customer residences, with paid training and a Serve-Solve-Sell approach.
Responsibilities
- Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are. Pre-scheduled interactions help you meet and surpass sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interaction, always prioritizing the customer first.
- Apply your expertise to diagnose and resolve tech issues, providing clear solutions for customers of all tech levels.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion's expanding product lineup to offer tailored solutions.
- Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products accordingly.
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and close the right sale.
- Begin with paid training to prepare for independent field work.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a sales environment with defined targets.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Proof of valid car insurance required (Manhattan excluded).
- Own a personal vehicle (no motorcycles). Travel is around neighborhoods and cities near the inventory warehouse, with a maximum of 120 miles one-way.
- Flexible 5-day workweek to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone for on-the-job communication.
- Comfortable working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills across career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and capable of thriving in human interaction.
- Work hours may vary based on business needs; flexibility may be required.

Part-Time Schedule
- 5 evenings per week — Hours: 4:05pm to 9:00pm
Pay Rate
- 22.05 USD per hour plus mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and sales commission
