In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
This part-time, on-site role in Pooler, GA combines in-home sales with technical support, requiring daily local travel. Following a Serve, Solve, Sell approach, the position includes paid training and compensation around $22 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and sales commissions. The workweek centers on five evenings, from 4:05 pm to 9:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Conduct visits with customers at their chosen location, including in-home or in-office settings, with appointments scheduled by Asurion.
- Leverage pre-arranged interactions to pursue and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver courteous, customer-first service throughout every engagement.
- Build product knowledge and gain hands-on sales experience while developing communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Complete paid training to prepare for independent field work.
- Apply expertise to diagnose and explain tech issues in clear terms suitable for customers with varying levels of technical comfort.
- Ensure customers leave with a workable resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
- Promote Asurion’s expanding product portfolio to offer tailored solutions for each customer.
- Actively listen to identify customer needs and position products accordingly.
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication abilities to steer conversations toward the appropriate sale and adapt as needed.
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a sales environment with defined targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan area excluded).
- Owns a personal vehicle (no motorcycles); customer visits occur in neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, with travel up to 120 miles one-way.
- Willingness to work a varied five-day week that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
- Comfortable working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad set of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with people face-to-face.
